About Us

OnePoint Patient Care is a rapidly expanding specialty pharmacy providing daily in-home deliveries from our local pharmacy located in each market we serve. Our superior service model is founded on the simple principle that outstanding therapeutic patient care can best be achieved when clinical pharmacists dispense medications locally and deliveries are made to patient sites by our own captive delivery personnel.

Our dedicated team of employees provides outstanding and reliable service with equipment, hours and capabilities you won’t find anywhere else. Our local pharmacy team is available to you 7 days a week, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Our pharmacy’s local market presence enables us to provide personal interaction, clinical support, accurate prescriptions and prompt delivery, allowing hospice patients to get the medications they need quickly, simply and reliably.

Hospice Leadership

OnePoint Patient Care is one of the pioneers in the hospice industry. Specializing in providing hospice pharmacy services since the Medicare benefit started in the 1980s, OnePoint Patient Care has grown to become one of the leading hospice pharmacies in the country. Our commitment to quality and superior service are unsurpassed in the industry.

Our founder, Larry Mayhew, is a nationally recognized pharmacist who has served as president of the Arizona Pharmacists Association and the American College of Apothecaries. Larry has been active in the National Community Pharmacists Association and the Professional Compounding Centers of America.  Larry also has a chair in his name at his alma mater, Drake University.  The new Mayhew Compounding Laboratory will greatly enhance opportunities for Drake pharmacy students to learn the latest techniques in compounding.

Patient First Philosophy

Everyone at OnePoint Patient Care is dedicated to providing the personal and professional service that meets your needs every time you contact us. We embrace a “Patient First” philosophy which means putting the needs of the patient at the forefront of every decision.  We believe that those closest to the patient are in the best position to assess a patient’s needs and make a final determination of what is best for the patient after discussing viable options with an experienced pharmacist.
And to ensure total quality on all of our orders, we’ve developed a four-step quality control process of checks and balances ensuring accuracy throughout the order taking, data entry, dispensing and delivery process.

What You Need, When You Need It

Be it drug advice, therapeutic interchange options, drug interaction reviews or ordering new drugs or refills … our staff provides friendly, personalized service. Our professional staff is accessible 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.
All new orders are delivered by our own customer care specialists the same day, usually within 4 hours of the order being placed. All refill orders are delivered the next day unless otherwise requested. Typical orders are filled with a 15-day or 30-day supply for home patients, depending on the needs of the hospice, and 3-7 day supply for patients in inpatient facilities. We can customize programs to meet the unique needs of just about any hospice, whether the needs be for comfort kits, emergency boxes or even order verification services. OnePoint offers a STAT service providing medications in 2 hours.

Specialists You Can Count On

Because our pharmacists and technicians are highly trained specialists in hospice and palliative care, we’ve found that many of our clients use our expertise to help train their staff or educate others who assist patients.

We’ve launched a Clinical Consulting and Cost Management Program with the sole purpose of providing you and your staff with dedicated clinical experts you can rely on when you need us. Some examples of the services this team offers are:

  • Assist in the creation and management of customized formularies
  • Recommend cost-effective elimination or reduction of medication orders not related to terminal diagnosis
  • Provide efficacious therapeutic alternatives to aid in cost reduction
  • Provide custom reporting and advanced analytics on drug utilization and spend
